Monarch of The Seas - First Cruise

September 26 - 29

Madison and I had a great opportunity to go on our first cruise.  Madison had to teach a scrapbooking class, so we got to enjoy a little vacation.  We had so much fun sailing the high seas. Friday afternoon we left Long BeachCA and headed south to the border.  Saturday morning we were in EnsenadaMexico.  We rented a Rhino and drove all around the city.  Went up the hill, feeling like we were going to tip over backwards and roll down the hill.  That night we set sail out into the Ocean.  All day Sunday we hung out 28 miles off the California shore.  Only to end up heading back to Long Beach throughout the night.  Monday morning, all over.  Well sort of. All day on Monday we hung out in Long Beach.  Took a little trip to see the Queen Mary.  Did I mention that we met up with Madison’s long lost brother?  Yes, as you can see from the pictures we found someone that looks just like MadisonLayton and Nerrell(????spelling) became our new best friends.  They are from Australla and had just gotten married 2 weeks earlier.  They just happened to end up on the same cruise as us.  Seriously, Layton and Madison look the same and have the same personalities.  I guess we have our next vacation planned.  Heading to the OUTBACK MATE!!!

Wow! All day Saturday was a big party. Jackson turned 9 on Friday, September 12th and we celebrated on Saturday. I rented a big Sponge Bob bouncehouse and all his friends came over. Paige and I spent all Friday night frosting 47 cupcakes into Baseballs. After all the kids left on Saturday we had another BBQ to celebrate with my family. I think that Jackson is loved and very spoiled.

Weekend Visit With Cooper

Cooper & Daddy

Ready for HalloweenLoves the slide/pool
Smokey the Bandit
Kesha & Cooper

This past weekend Madison and I took a trip to Colorado Springs to visit with Cooper. So Friday night after work we got on a plane and were off. Cooper was there at the airport waiting for us to get there. He was so excited for us to be coming. He knew that we would be going to our favorite hotel with the waterslide. We spent the morning on Saturday playing on the slide. Then Cooper spent most of the rest of the trip sliding. I took him to Target and bought him a Halloween Costume, Scooby Doo! As always it was hard to say good-bye. Madison just tells him that we will see him soon. And we will....soon.

Good-Bye for this year

So I took another day off to play! Yeah! I took Jackson up to Bear Lake for a long weekend. A bunch of my family joined us up there. Jeff & Paula, Jared & Jill, Brad & Amber, John & Holly, my mom & dad, and of course all the kids. Well I guess I can’t really call Kelsey a kid anymore, she is 20 years old and brought her boyfriend up for the weekend. I’m not sure if that is what I can call him yet, oh well he is nice and was fun to have up there. It was just like old times, except Amber and I did not go to the Sweetwater dance on Saturday night. Good thing though, we didn’t need any funny Logan boys hangin’ outside our door. Jared and I kept up the tradition of getting on the wave runner for the sole purpose of going really fast and crashing into the water. Although it seems that it was much easier to get on and off the wave runner when we were15 & 17, instead of now being 10+ years older. I am so proud of my little Jackson, he got up on ski’s and on the wakeboard. He just wanted to keep trying and trying. I am convinced he is part fish! To sum it up, it was a GREAT weekend and we’re planning on heading up again next year!

I took the day off of work today to spend with Jackson. We went to the pool up in Roy with Jenny & her kids, Grandma Kelly & her kids, Holly & her kids, and Amanda & her kid. Lots of kids! Lots of fun! Jackson, Karson, and Mitch went off the diving boards and did crazy tricks.
